‘False rumor’: Trump shoots down chatter of TV network

Donald Trump denies having any interest in adding a television network to his list of business ventures if his bid for the White House proves unsuccessful.

The Republican presidential nominee told the Washington Post in a new interview that he’s “never” spoken with ousted Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes about partnering up to launch a new media company down the road, despite recent reporting that has suggested otherwise.

“I want to win the presidency, and I want to make America great again. It’s very simple,” Trump told the Post. “I have no interest in a media company.”

“False rumor,” he added.

The billionaire businessman said he speaks with Ailes “on occasion,” noting that the media mogul has taught him “some interesting things about past debates.” But he said he doesn’t consider Ailes to be a formal adviser to him or members of his campaign.

“I love the benefit of his experience and knowledge. He’s had an amazing experience,” Trump said. “But there is no role.”
