A car burst into flames in front of the Russian Embassy in Romania on Wednesday after the driver rammed the vehicle into the building’s front gate.
The driver was killed in the crash outside the embassy in the capital city of Bucharest, according to Romanian police. The crash occurred at 6 a.m. local time Wednesday. It is unclear if the crash was deliberate or an accident.

Video of the incident shared on social media showed a sedan engulfed in flames, with the front end of the car up against the embassy’s gates.

The crash occurred hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Romanian Parliament over video and described the atrocities he says have been committed by Russian forces in Ukraine since the Feb. 24 invasion.
