SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — A 27-year-old man has pleaded guilty in the fatal stabbing of his estranged wife and her friend inside a Syracuse-area home last fall.
Local media report that Justin Dallas pleaded guilty Thursday in Onondaga County Court to first- and second-degree murder charges and to an assault charge for pushing a third woman down stairs.
Police say Dallas went to a home in suburban Liverpool last Oct. 28 and killed his wife, 24-year-old Brandy Dallas, and her friend, 30-year-old Samantha Rainwater.
Afterward he ran into Onondaga Lake, where he was captured by police.
In exchange for his guilty pleas, Dallas will be sentenced to 46 years to life in prison on July 28.
