Bryan Lanza, former communications director for the Trump transition team and deputy communications director for the Trump campaign, has joined CNN as a political commentator.
Lanza is managing director of Mercury LLC., a public affairs firm. Since the election, he has occasionally appeared on Fox News and CNN as a Trump supporter.

“I’m honored by the opportunity to join the CNN Team,” Lanza told the Washington Examiner. They continue to be the best place for politics and news.”
He said he is scheduled to appear Wednesday on “CNN’s Tonight” with Don Lemon.
Lanza’s new role with CNN was made official on Monday, but had not yet been announced.
CNN confirmed the hire in an email Wednesday to the Examiner.
