Late-night comic Stephen Colbert slammed President Trump’s lawyer Alan Dershowitz by calling his defense of Trump a “logical turd.”
“Sifting through, sifting through the logical turd Dershowitz just pinched out in the Senate well there, it’s hard to find the largest corn kernel of logical fallacy,” said the host of The Late Show. “It’s we the people — not you, the douchebag.”
Dershowitz, 81, opposed the impeachment of President Bill Clinton and has argued that Trump’s alleged abuse of power is not an impeachable offense while his opponents twist his perfectly logical defense.
“Of course, esteemed counselor Tighty Whitey does think some quid pro quo might be possibly bad,” continued Colbert before playing a clip of Dershowitz’s defense from Wednesday.
Meghan McCain, co-host of The View, said Dershowitz “must be a pretty good lawyer” after his successful defense of O.J. Simpson in his murder case.
White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham called Colbert a “disgrace” last week after the comedian attacked tweets posted by first lady Melania Trump.
