Just in time for the holiday weekend, Virginia has rolled out a new parks and outdoors Web site designed to make planning outdoor recreation trips easy. The content at virginiaoutdoors.com includes downloadable maps, video tours of trails in all Virginia state parks, and audio podcasts with park staff. Virginia Outdoors includes content from state agencies such as the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. The site was developed through donations from Dominion Power. Virginia state parks had a record 7.5 million visitors last year.
