The View hosts called former President Donald Trump’s bluff, predicting he will, in fact, return to Twitter now that Elon Musk has purchased the social media platform.
Following the announcement that Musk bought Twitter for around $44 billion, Trump said he would only post on his social media platform, Truth Social, even if he were allowed to return to Twitter.
“I think Trump is going to come back to Twitter,” guest host Amber Ruffin said, chuckling. “It’s going to be horrible but also very hilarious. We forget how hilarious Trump is.”
Ruffin gave the example of Trump labeling Putin’s threat of nuclear war as the “n-word” during his recent Fox Nation interview with Piers Morgan, noting that Putin should not “use the nuclear word ever again.”

“Oh my god. It’s the best. It’s the best,” Ruffin laughed. “And I’m sorry, but Trump is very horrible. We all dislike him very much. That man is hilarious. That’s one of the funniest things I ever — the n-word, the n-word.”
Co-host Joy Behar disagreed.
“He’s as funny as a herpes store — sore,” Behar said. “I don’t think he’s funny.”
The hosts did not waste time blasting Musk during the ABC show Tuesday, saying they doubt his ability to manage misinformation.
“If you have $44 billion and you use it to buy Twitter, you make bad decisions,” Ruffin said.

The hosts questioned why Musk could not address world hunger instead of purchasing Twitter.
Behar added that Musk, along with Trump, has gone “into space because they have no other ideas about what to do with their money. They should start giving it away.”
