2 dead in apparent murder-suicide near Buffalo

ALDEN, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say they’re investigating an apparent murder-suicide that occurred at a western New York home.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office tells local media that two people were found dead Sunday in a house in the rural town of Alden, 20 miles east of Buffalo.

Officials say deputies found the bodies after repeated attempts to contact the people inside the house were unsuccessful. Police say the deputies found two people in their 40s dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Their names haven’t been released.

Officials say the investigation is continuing.
