An 11-month-old girl has died after being left unattended in a bathtub in a Germantown home, according to Montgomery County Police.
The child was apparently left by family members during a bath for a brief period of time around 3 p.m. Sunday at the home in the 18000 block of Cottage Garden Drive, police said.
After the family found the unresponsive girl, neighbors, then first responders tried to revive her. The girl was rushed to Children’s National Medical Center but died Monday morning just before 6 a.m. Montgomery County Child Protective Services is investigating, police said.
