Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said Monday she would not allow officials in her State Department to use a private email account.
The Hillary Clinton supporter said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that she did not see Clinton’s controversial use of a private email server as a security breach, but that she would not have signed off on the arrangement herself.
Albright reportedly did not use email when she served as secretary of state under Bill Clinton.
Hillary Clinton has faced increased scrutiny in recent days following the discovery that she may not have turned over all her work-related emails to the State Department, as she previously stated.
The Pentagon provided the State Department with an email chain between Hillary Clinton and Gen. David Petraeus from 2009 which Hillary Clinton had never submitted to her former agency.
The new email raises questions about whether Hillary Clinton could face legal consequences given her assertion in an Aug. 8 sworn declaration that she provided the government with all work-related communications.
