Spicer denies report on Trump looking to reopen CIA prisons

White House press secretary Sean Spicer on Wednesday denied the reports that President Trump is looking into reopening overseas CIA prisons and reviving enhanced interrogation techniques.

Several news outlets had circulated a draft memo early Wednesday morning that suggested Trump was considering the move, which Republicans and Democrats immediately decried.

“It is not a White House document,” Spicer told reporters. “I’m not sure where it came from or where it originated, but it is not a White House document.”

“I can’t be any clearer on that,” he said.
