SUMMIT, Miss. (AP) — Biflex Intimates Group will auction the contents of two buildings in Pike County that was once a garment distribution center.
The center was operated by a Biflex associate company, Genco.
County administrator Andrew Alford tells the Enterprise-Journal reports (http://bit.ly/Rq3w4F) that the county-owned buildings at Summit and Fernwood are in excellent condition.
Genco leased the buildings from the county. Genco managed garment distribution for Biflex, shipping women’s lingerie made overseas to retailers.
In August, Komar Brands bought Biflex and said it would relocate the warehouse operations to California.
Alford says the closure means the loss of 75 jobs.
Alford says Biflex plans to sell most of its equipment at auction sometime in January or February.
Biflex took over the distribution centers from Kellwood in 2005 and hired Genco to operate them.
