Katy Perry wore a “Persist” armband and white pantsuit at the Grammys on Sunday.
Perry’s armband quickly garnered attention on Twitter, as it likely referenced the Senate voting to silence Sen. Elizabeth Warren last week.

“She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted,” Sen. Mitch McConnell said Tuesday, a phrase that was picked up by Warren supporters as a badge of honor.
Perry performed “Chained to the Rhythm” next to a fence. Near the end of the song, the fence broke into pieces and had the Constitution superimposed over it.
At the end of the performance she yelled, “No hate!”
The singer campaigned with Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton throughout the campaign. Clinton wore a white pantsuit when she accepted the Democratic nomination for president in July, in what was seen as a nod to the women’s movement.
