Union Station reopened after fire

Metro says it has reopened Union Station at about 10 a.m. after a track fire near the station.

Spokesman Dan Stessel said to expect residual delays for about 30 minutes.

An electrical spark at about 8:45 a.m., causing  smoke from the third rail. Trains were using one one rail between the Judiciary Square and New York Avenue, and bypassing Union Station. The station is now open and the trains are using two rails, Stessel said.
