WATCH: Hillary Clinton says Republicans ‘let Donald Trump trash our democracy’

Hillary Clinton derided Republicans in a keynote address during the New York Democratic Convention on Thursday, claiming that “the Republican Party officially embraces violent insurrection” and “let Donald Trump trash our democracy.”

Clinton introduced New York Gov. Kathy Hochul as she formally received the Democratic nomination for governor of the state.

“They’ll ban books but do nothing about guns. They’ll make it harder for people to vote but easier for big corporations to bust unions. They’ll let polluters trash our environment and let Donald Trump trash our democracy,” the failed 2016 candidate told the crowd.

According to Clinton, Republicans “claim they’re on the side of parents and family values” but do “nothing to help working moms and dads get by and get ahead.”

She further claimed that Republicans embrace the “violent insurrection” of Jan. 6 and are attempting to “normalize” overturning elections.

Clinton also laughed off allegations of spying on former President Donald Trump.

Speculation began anew after special counsel John Durham said he was building a case against a tech executive suspected of working with indicted Clinton-linked lawyer Michael Sussmann to help spy on Trump.

YES, HILLARY CLINTON SPIED ON DONALD TRUMP—WHILE HE WAS PRESIDENT

“Trump & Fox are desperately spinning up a fake scandal to distract from his real ones. So it’s a day that ends in Y. The more his misdeeds are exposed, the more they lie,” Clinton said in a tweet addressing the allegations.

According to a filing, Durham says he has evidence that “Technology Executive-1,” whose identity is reportedly former Neustar Senior Vice President Rodney Joffe, worked alongside Sussmann to gain access to “dedicated servers for the Executive Office of the President of the United States (EOP).”

Joffe allegedly “exploited this arrangement by mining the EOP’s DNS traffic and other data for the purpose of gathering derogatory information about Donald Trump.”
