A 16-year-old girl came to school with a knife, intending to use it on another 15-year-old at Harford Technical High School Tuesday morning, according to police.
She gave her purse to a teaching assistant after she got off the bus, but continued with the kitchen knife, saying she intended to harm another student, according to police.
The employee and a teacher caught her down the hallway and took the knife away before it could be used, police said.
“As a result of the school officials? actions, no harm came to the intended victim,” according to a police statement.
The girl is charged with attempted first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a deadly weapon on school property and disturbance of school operations.
The students? names were not released because of their ages.
