Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a Baltimore County man early Monday morning in Pikesville ? the eighth homicide in the county this year.
Rami Adana Martin, 24, was shot as he left his home with his girlfriend and another friend about 1:30 a.m. on the 7900 block of Dunhill Circle, police said. Two suspects approached the group on their way to their car, and Martin spoke briefly to them before one produced a handgun.
Martin and the two others began running off in separate directions. The suspect fired at Martin as he ran down nearby Washington Avenue, hitting him multiple times. Martin died early Monday afternoon at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
