Classics getting modernized are all the rage on TV nowadays. ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” was a surprise hit last year, and the upcoming season will feature new takes on Sherlock Holmes (CBS’s “Elementary’) and the CW will feature a new take on “Beauty and the Beast.” And now the CW is going to take “Alice in Wonderland.” The network is developing “Wunderland,” in which Alice will be a modern-day detective in Los Angeles. The show will shoot a pilot later this year.
