The National Rifle Association argued Monday that the tough gun control laws in Paris weren’t enough to prevent Kim Kardashian from being robbed at gunpoint over the weekend.
“How is that possible?” the NRA asked in a tweet. “Does anyone know if they passed a background check first?”
Wait, criminals held @KimKardashian at gunpoint in Paris? How is that possible? Does anyone know if they passed a background check first?

Another tweet said it’s “shocking” that the gunmen didn’t submit to a background check first.
It’s shocking that these criminals did not subject themselves to Paris’ strict #guncontrol laws before committing this awful crime.

CNN reported five masked robbers burst into Kardashian’s bedroom early Monday morning and left her tied up in the bathroom of her luxury apartment as they took millions of dollars worth of jewelry. Her personal bodyguard was not present.
The NRA also responded to a woman who criticized the organization for its opposition to closing a “background check loophole that allows criminals to get guns.”

Kardashian has advocated for stronger gun laws in the past, and said she was disappointed that the Senate failed to pass a bill mandating stronger background checks to help prevent terrorists and the mentally ill from obtaining weapons.
The fact that anyone can so easily access guns is so scary & after all of the devastating loss the Senate should have not failed us!!!
