Minnesota Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison called President-elect Trump “the most prolific misogynist” to ever win the presidency and called on Democrats to work against him Saturday.
Speaking at a Democratic National Committee Future Forum in Arizona, Ellison said Trump must be resisted from Jan. 20, from the moment he’s sworn in.
“In a few short days, Donald Trump is going to put his hand up and be sworn in as president,” he said. “This guy is the most prolific misogynist as anybody who has ever occupied that office. The sisters have of the Democratic Party have been insulted by this man and the resistance to this man has to come from the Democratic Party.”
Ellison is running to become the new chair of the DNC, and he and six other hopefuls were speaking in Arizona Saturday in order to make their case to party regulars.
