CHICAGO (AP) — A 2-year-old girl has been struck and killed by a Chicago commuter bus in the city’s South Shore neighborhood.
The Chicago Transit Authority says the girl ran into traffic Monday afternoon and was hit by the No. 6 Jackson Park Express.
Witnesses tell WBBM Radio that the toddler was with a group of people in front of an apartment building when she stepped into the street.
Police say the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
