The campaign for U.S. Rep. Gerald Connolly, D-Va., has released an online video titled “Never Again” that features Oakton businessman Keith Fimian, his opponent in the 11th Congressional District race, speaking favorably about offshore drilling.
The spot also features former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and several images from the oil-soaked Gulf region following the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
Connolly has introduced legislation in the House that would require a full environmental review for all offshore drilling projects off the coast. The spot asks supporters to sign on as citizen co-sponsors.
