The lawyer for NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick said Tuesday that his client will return to the league by Nov. 10.
“I think within the next 10 days somebody will sign him. I think somebody’s gonna sign him. I think the NFL has to come to their senses and realize every day that goes by just proves the collusion case even more,” attorney Mark Geragos told the Adam Carolla Show.
Kaepernick backed out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers last season after he started kneeling during the national anthem at the beginning of games. Kaepernick said he was protesting police brutality against blacks.
No NFL team has signed Kaepernick in that time. He recently sued the league and alleged team owners colluded against him.
For nearly two months, NFL players have continued Kaepernick’s example and kneeled during the anthem. The move has hurt TV ratings and angered some fans, including President Trump.
The players have not laid out a specific request that would end the protests.
