The Democratic National Convention will commence Monday in less than desirable conditions, according to Republican nominee Donald Trump.
“I always said that Debbie Wasserman Schultz was overrated. The Dems Convention is cracking up and Bernie is exhausted, no energy left!” Trump tweeted Sunday evening.

Democrats spent the weekend explaining why Democratic National Committee staffers, including Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, bashed Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, members of the press and the Republican Party in 20,000 internal emails that were leaked Friday.
Wasserman Schultz, a Miami congresswoman, announced her resignation Sunday afternoon. Sanders said the scandal is proof the system was rigged against him and would only allow Hillary Clinton to win.
“Today proves what I have always known, that @Reince Priebus is the tough one and the smart one, not Debbie Wasserman Shultz,” Trump added.

The party infighting comes a week after Wasserman Schultz had jokingly tweeted at House Speaker Paul Ryan and Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus that she could help them control delegates on the floor. After a mostly calm GOP convention, it’s the Democratic meeting in Philly that is heading toward chaos.
