Conservative commentator Mark Levin on Tuesday blasted reporters for aiding and abetting “the pornification of the media,” as well as for assuming a former adult film star and a Playboy model were telling the truth about their alleged sexual escapades with President Trump more than a decade ago.
“The truth is if Donald Trump’s last name was Kennedy we’d not be seeing a thing of this. They would be covering it up,” Levin told his Fox News colleague Sean Hannity, referring to former President John F. Kennedy and members of the free press.
In particular, Levin singled out Anderson Cooper for having “no shame” in asking tawdry questions of ex-porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal last week in a series of exclusive interviews for CNN and CBS respectively.
The two women both claim to have had sexual encounters with Trump in 2006 and 2007 shortly after he married future first lady Melania Trump and the pair welcomed their son, Barron Trump.
“What the media are doing, they’re the mouth pieces and scribes for the ideological Left, for the Democratic Party,” he said. “Anderson Cooper will never live down that interview. CNN will never live down that interview.”
Levin added that he believed television and print journalists were motivated to sensationalize coverage of Trump to gin up the Democratic base.
“They know that Trump supporters aren’t going to be persuaded by any of this, but what they’re trying to do is get the people out there who don’t really pay a lot of attention,” he said.
