A California man whose brother was killed by an illegal immigrant blasted President Joe Biden’s immigration policies in an interview this week and called on him to admit that the situation has become a crisis.
“If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it’s not a cow, it’s a duck,” Jody Jones, who lost his older brother Rocky when an illegal immigrant shot and killed him at a gas station in 2018, told Fox News. “So don’t sit there and tell me there’s not a crisis down at the border — because there is.”

Jones added that illegal immigration is “destroying” California communities and that Biden’s policies have made the situation even worse.
“All you hear is law enforcement agencies screaming for help, and there’s nothing being done,” Jones said. “These illegal immigrants are committing crimes — felonies. Getting caught with pounds [of] methamphetamines, weapons on them, firearms, nothing’s happening to them. I mean, they’re doing literally hours in jail and getting released.”
“When you’re protecting [illegal immigrants], you stop protecting our community,” Jones declared.
Biden has faced criticism from both sides of the aisle over the current influx of migrants at the southern border, which includes a record number of unaccompanied minors. So far, the president has declined to call the scene at the border a “crisis.”

Republicans have accused Biden of making life easier for human traffickers while lining their pockets at the same time.
“President Biden should be ashamed of himself,” Republican Rep. Burgess Owens said last month. “Ashamed. This was preventable. There are people suffering, going through misery because they were given false hope.”
On Friday, it was announced that Biden’s “border czar,” Roberta Jacobson, will be stepping down at the end of the month.
