A majority if registered voters disapprove of the work President Obama has done for healthcare, immigration and fighting the Islamic State at the conclusion of his two terms in the Oval Office.
A Fox News poll released Thursday evening found 51 percent of respondents were unhappy with the Democratic president’s job in health care, while 47 percent approved, according to the Dec. 11-13 survey. On immigration policy, 49 percent were discontent and 47 percent were happy. In the ongoing fight against the Islamic State, 51 percent dismissed Obama’s performance and 41 percent supported it.
More Americans said the U.S. is less safe now than just one year ago after the Paris and San Bernardino attacks. Forty-three percent said it is less safe now, compared to 34 percent said the same then.
Although respondents sided with Obama on the economy and foreign policy by single-digit margins, two-thirds still believe the economy is in fair or poor condition. That number is down from 94 percent who believed the economy was in poor condition when he took office in January 2009.
The poll was conducted by Anderson Robbins Research and Shaw & Company Research with 1,034 registered voters nationwide through cell phone and landline interviews. It has a 3-point margin of error.
