Montgomery County police officers were sickened by fumes while investigating the death of a man found in a sport-utility vehicle in Gaithersburg.
The 39-year-old man had been last seen with friends the night before and the Ford Explorer was seen in a parking lot on the 800 block of Clopper Road early Monday. Around 10 p.m. Monday, police were called to check on the man inside the SUV and were overcome by fumes and taken to a hospital. Police said the fumes were gasoline vapors.
