Stormy Daniels’ lawyer predicts Trump ‘will not serve out his term’

The lawyer of porn star Stormy Daniels, who has been involved in a legal battle with President Trump over an alleged extramarital affair, predicted on Thursday that President Trump will not fulfill his complete term in office until 2020.

“There’s no question that Michael Cohen knows where many, many bodies are buried. They are going to turn him,” Michael Avenatti told MSNBC anchor Nicole Wallace. “And when they turn him, the president is going to be in a very, very bad place. And I’m going to make a prediction now. I do not think the president will serve out his term. I just don’t.”

The comments come in response to a report published by the Wall Street Journal that one of Trump’s longtime legal advisers cautioned him that his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, could turn against him in the event that Cohen is charged by federal prosecutors.

Right before the 2016 election, Cohen paid Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, $130,000 and signed a nondisclosure agreement with her. However, Daniels filed a lawsuit earlier this year claiming that it should be nullified because Trump didn’t sign the NDA.

Last week, Cohen’s home and office were raided by the FBI, an action that was reportedly authorized by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who is overseeing special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. During the raid, agents seized computers, phones, and other documents — including information related to Daniels.

Furthermore, it was reported last week that Cohen has been investigated for months in a criminal probe looking at his “personal business dealings.”

Through White House spokespeople, Trump denies having been involved in an extramarital affair with Daniels.
