Keeping with Former President Bill Clinton’s aspiration to be the least helpful surrogate for a presidential candidate, on Monday, he criticized President Obama’s jobs record.
“[T]he country is doing better than anyone else in the world. But 80 percent of the country has not had a pay raise since the crash. Therefore there is great fear that we can’t return to [inaudible] prosperity. And that has been a lot of the fires that has helped Mr. Trump on the right and Senator Sanders on the left. It is totally—it’s totally predictable.”
If the rise of Bernie Sanders was so predictable, according to the husband of Hillary Clinton, one would think she would have better prepared her campaign. Criticizing President Obama thusly also probably isn’t the most helpful, as Clinton is working to encourage the party to unite around her.
