“Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd said this presidential election season is as revolting to him as guacamole.
“For me it’s guacamole. There is nothing more disgusting to me than guacamole,” said Todd in an Instagram video released on Thursday. “The point is that’s what this election feels like.”
Todd said his aversion to guacamole comes from growing up in Florida, where he would mow lawns and “avocados would fall and I’d have to clean this goop out of the lawnmower.”
He said guacamole “doesn’t taste half bad” to him when he ignores its appearance, just like the election. “When you close your eyes, there are times when this election feels like ‘well, maybe it isn’t half bad.’ But it’s horrendous to look at,” he said.
