Kanye West: Liberals ‘bully’ Trump supporters

Rapper Kanye West accused liberals of oppressing those who support President Trump.

West, who wore a “make America great again” hat during a “Saturday Night Live” appearance in September and visited Trump in the White House in October, clashed with David Letterman on the topic Thursday evening as he argued that Trump supporters are “treated like enemies of America because that’s what they felt.”

“This is like my thing with Trump — we don’t have to feel the same way, but we have the right to feel what we feel,” West said during an interview for Letterman’s Netflix series.

West argued that wearing the MAGA hat was “not about politics,” but was an effort to normalize the hat for people who were worried about publicly backing the president. But Letterman challenged West on whether his support could be indirectly hurting people who are already being hurt.

“Have you ever been beat up in your high school for wearing the wrong hat?” West said.

Letterman then pressed West on who was responsible for bullying in America, prompting West to say: “Liberals bully people who are Trump supporters!”

West also revealed during the interview that he has never “voted in my life.”
