President Trump’s forthcoming military parade could cost up to $92 million, several times more than the initial $12 million estimate, a U.S. defense official told CNBC.
The new estimate includes an estimated $50 million from the Defense Department and $42 million from the Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies, according to CNBC.

Included in the prospective cost is security, transportation of assets for the parade, aircraft and temporary duty for U.S. troops. Among the military equipment expected for the event are roughly eight tanks, other armored vehicles and various aircraft.
Trump requested a military parade after visiting France with first lady Melania Trump for Bastille Day last year.
The event is scheduled to occur in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 10 and highlight the strength of the U.S. military, as well as pay tribute to service members. Trump’s political opponents have criticized those plans as a waste of taxpayer funds and an event more appropriate for military dictatorships than America.
