Carroll County pair killed in Baltimore

Two Carroll County residents, one of whom was pregnant, were shot to death Saturday afternoon in a West Baltimore neighborhood notorious for drug activity, Baltimore City police said.

New Windsor resident Jennifer Morelock, 25, and Jason Woycio, 29, of Westminster, both died at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said. Morelock was about six months pregnant.

Police spokeswoman Officer Nicole Monroe said Morelock was standing outside her car on the 2500 block of Arunah Avenue near Catonsville just after noon when she was shot several times.

Woycio was sitting in the passenger seat of the car when he was shot.

Police declined to speculate on the motive, but said the victims were the shooter?s intended targets. Police have no suspects at this time.

Both victims have long court records in the state. Morelock, the mother of a 15-month-old girl, has been in and out of court since 1997, accused of assault, drug possession, possession with the intent to distribute, theft and firearms violations.

Woycio has been charged with crimes including theft, burglary, battery and drug possession since 1994.

Most recently, Woycio was found guilty in late February in Baltimore City for possession of a drug other than marijuana.

Morelock, who has previously accused Woycio of assault, according to records, failed to appear in Baltimore City court in October for driving with a minor not restrained by a seat belt.
