Arson suspected in 2 fires
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service officials are investigating fires that occurred early Monday in a Silver Spring restaurant as possible arson.
Capt. Oscar Garcia said two separate blazes at My-Le Family Restaurant, at 8077 Georgia Ave., appeared to have been started by an open flame in a dining room and a kitchen. “If you have a fire, it starts in a single place and mostly it expands,” Garcia said. No one was seriously injured in the fire, which is estimated to have caused $10,000 in damage, Garcia said.
