Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte sang a duet at a gala on Sunday night on President Trump’s request.
Duterte told the audience at a gala for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations that he performed “upon the orders of the commander in chief of the United States,” the Associated Press reported.
Trump smiled in response to Duterte’s shoutout.
The Philippine leader sang “Ikaw” with singer Pilita Corrales in Manila.
Trump and Duterte held a bilateral meeting Monday during the U.S. president’s first visit to the country as commander in chief.
