The Pentagon Force Protection Agency now says a total of six gunshots hit the Pentagon early Tuesday morning.
Pentagon officials said Tuesday that two windows were hit. Four other bullets also hit the building’s facade, PFPA director Steven E. Calvery said in a statement Wednesday.
No one was injured in the incident, which occurred at about 5 a.m. The area hit was an unoccupied part of the building that was being renovated.
Authorities are still looking for the gunman. Calvery said the FBI was examining crime-scene evidence, including video footage and ballistics.
In March, a gunman who fired shots as he neared a Pentagon security checkpoint was shot and killed by police.
