Celebrities are lining up for the Democratic National Convention next week, after a Republican convention that most agreed featured C-list celebrities.
The list of attendees currently includes NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul Jabbar, the first openly gay NBA player Jason Collins, singer Demi Lovato, and actors America Ferrera, Lena Dunham, Tony Goldwyn, Chloe Meretz, Eva Longoria and Debra Messing. Those and others will all address the delegates at the July 25-28 event, a Hillary Clinton aide said in a statement.
The GOP convention, in contrast, featured actors like Scott Baio from the 1980s and Antonio Sabato Jr. from the 1990s. And a rock band that happened to be playing in Cleveland this week made it clear that it hates Republicans.
The Democratic convention will take place at the Wells Fargo Center.
