A grieving, tear-stricken John Travolta’s final words to his lifeless son were, “I’m sorry, Jett,” according to an EMT who assisted in Friday’s frantic yet futile effort to revive the 16-year-old.
Why the apology? “I think he meant, ‘I’m sorry, Jett. I did all I could do,” the EMT opined on “Inside Edition.”
Though autopsy results had not been officially released as of press time, Jett reportedly died due to a seizure disorder — not from hitting his head on the tub during a seizure, as was initially speculated. The funeral director who handled his remains told The Associated Press the teen’s body was “in great condition,” with no sign of head injury.
Jett was cremated, and his parents — his mom is actress Kelly Preston — returned with his ashes to Florida, where they have a home. The teen will be buried there, with a funeral service scheduled for today. Our hearts go out to the Travolta family.
Hef’s New Gal
Hugh Hefner isn’t wasting any time in restocking his stable of blond beauties after the departure of “Girls Next Door” gal pals Holly, Bridget and Kendra. Along with the teenage twins he’s anointed as his new girlfriends (can you say creepy?), the octogenarian ladies’ man has quietly — by his standards — taken up with a third paramour, the New York Daily News reports.
Crystal Lewis, who is, naturally, blond (if not necessarily a natural blonde), reveals on E! Online that “there are a couple [potential girlfriends] that we have interest in,” but officially, “as for now, it is just us three.”

Swayze: ‘In Hell’
Patrick Swayze has won admiration for his brave battle with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, but that doesn’t mean he’s not struggling emotionally. The “Ghost” star confesses to Barbara Walters on tonight’s “20/20” that he’s “going through hell.”
“There’s a lot of fear here,” confesses the star of “The Beast.” “Yeah, I’m scared. Yeah, I’m angry. Yeah, I’m [asking] ‘Why me?’”
“You can bet that I’m going through hell,” Patrick says. “And I’ve only seen the beginning of it.”
But as he braves treatment that includes chemotherapy and experimental medication, Patrick maintains his fighting spirit: “What winning is to me is not giving up, is no matter what’s thrown at me, I can take it,” he explains. “And I can keep going.” Inspiring words.
Amy’s New Guy
Amy Winehouse has definitely been enjoying her Caribbean holiday. As the troubled singer takes her vacation (from what work, we’re not sure), she’s been snapped frolicking on the beach in her bikini, sporting a healthier-looking body — and perhaps a healthier-looking relationship.
Though hubby Blake Fielder-Civil is still locked away in prison, the “Rehab” singer seems to be done pining for him. Paparazzi have caught her cuddling with a hunk ID’d by the U.K.’s Daily Mail as Joshua Bowman, 21. The recent college grad spent a year in New York auditioning for acting roles before meeting Amy on the island of St. Lucia.
“She’s just a cool girl, very nice, and we’re just very friendly,” Joshua reportedly told the paper. “I can’t say much more than that. I have been having a lovely time relaxing. It’s not been all party-party. I don’t drink much at all.”
“It’s true to say that I’m a budding young actor,” he acknowledged. “But I’d rather get my name out there because of my acting rather than who I’m being photographed with. I wasn’t waiting until there was a photographer on the beach to put my arm around Amy.”
Uh-oh — we don’t like the sound of this. It hardly seems possible, but could Amy have traded in Blake for an even more blatant gold-digger?
