Maryland reports first seasonal flu case

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Flu season has arrived in Maryland.

The state health department announced Thursday that a lab-confirmed case of influenza was diagnosed in a patient on the Eastern Shore. That patient was hospitalized and released.
