Two Oxon Hill 15-year-olds accused of killing a man on Saturday in Arlington’s Columbia Heights West neighborhood were returned to Virginia on Tuesday to face charges.
“The juveniles … were taken into custody without incident by the Prince George’s County Police Department,” said Matthew Martin, a spokesman for the Arlington County Police Department.
Both boys face charges of capital murder, robbery, conspiracy to commit a felony and stabbing in the commission of a felony, he said.
According to police reports, the two boys robbed a couple at knifepoint just after midnight Saturday. During the robbery, a man was fatally stabbed in the chest.
Police did not release the name of the victim, saying it could hinder the investigation.
Officials also said they have arrested three other people in connection with a series of Arlington burglaries and they are checking to determine whether the two juveniles are connected to those crimes.
The names of the two boys were not released because of their ages. They remain in a Northern Virginia juvenile detention facility.
