Donald Trump on Monday called the two lead hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” a couple of “clowns,” and said he would someday reveal the “real story” about Joe Scarborough and co-host Mika Brzezinski.
“Tried watching low-rated @Morning_Joe this morning, unwatchable! @morningmika is off the wall, a neurotic and not very bright mess!” Trump tweeted less than 90 minutes into the show Monday morning.
Moments later, the Republican presidential nominee said he knew something about Brzezinski and Scarborough that viewers didn’t.
“Some day, when things calm down, I’ll tell the real story of @JoeNBC and his very insecure long-time girlfriend, @morningmika. Two clowns!” Trump tweeted. The two hosts are rumored to be dating, but neither has confirmed anything publicly.

The show has been consistently critical of Trump and didn’t back down Monday morning. Both hosts mocked RNC Chairman Reince Priebus for saying on Sunday that Trump had a “great week.”
The two also teased Trump over his Saturday speech in Virginia, and Brzezinski said it was as if Trump “had a lot to drink.”
Scarborough also hit back over Twitter by saying Clinton is targeting swing states while Trump is “obsessed with cable news hosts.”
