Biden says there is ‘zero, zero, zero evidence’ behind Trump claims of his corruption

Joe Biden said that there is no evidence backing President Trump’s allegations that he committed wrongdoing during his time as vice president.

Trump has alleged that Biden used his power to have a prosecutor fired who was investigating a company of which Biden’s son, Hunter, was on the board. Trump urged Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky to investigate the matter, prompting a whistleblower to file a complaint against him. Trump said “Biden and his son are stone cold crooked,” during a Wednesday press conference.

Biden pushed back on Trump’s claims Wednesday at a gun safety forum in Las Vegas.

“There is zero, zero, zero evidence of any assertion being made,” Biden said. “Look, the issue is this president of the United States engaged in something apparently that is close to, well, engaged in activity which at minimum gives, a lot of running room for the Russian and Ukraine and I think we should just focus on he’s the issue.”

“Nobody has ever asserted that I did anything wrong except he and what’s that fella’s name, Rudy ‘Hudy’… Giuliani. That’s it,” Biden added, referencing Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani.

Biden has claimed that the prosecutor was fired not because of his family ties, but rather because he was corrupt.

Trump has repeatedly attacked Biden on the matter, and said during a Wednesday press conference that “Biden and his son are stone cold crooked.” He shortly afterward tweeted a video that showed a photo alleging that Biden, Hunter, and a Ukrainian gas executive had golfed together.
