LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — More than 38,000 passengers are expected to use the Little Rock airport around the Fourth of July holiday.
The Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport says airlines plan to handle 38,190 passengers during the six-day stretch from Saturday until July 5.
The airport’s Shane Carter says that number is up more than 4 percent from the same period last year when about 36,700 passengers used the airport.
So far this year, passenger traffic at the airport is about 10 percent higher than what it was in 2011.
The airport serves about 2.2 million passengers each year.
