Ann Coulter dishes on canceled ‘seditious and hateful’ UC Berkeley speech

Conservative commentator Anne Coulter revealed “exclusively” on Fox News what the theme of her twice-canceled speech at the University of California, Berkeley, would have been.

On the very evening Coulter was originally supposed to speak, Tucker Carlson offered her a new venue, on air, to share what she would have said had she been allowed to speak.

“You are getting it exclusively so that the thugs do not win. Well, my seditious and hateful speech, the theme of it was going to be obviously it was going to be a searingly brilliant speech on immigration,” Coulter said somewhat sarcastically.

She added that the “main point” of the speech would have been about “federal written law on the books about immigration developed over generations by both Democrats and Republicans should be enforced.”

“Huh? That was it?” Carlson asked, to which Coulter said yes. The result was a loud laugh from the host.

Coulter also criticized Berkeley police for not doing their job by offering a commitment to protect her for the canceled event.

University officials canceled Coulter’s event, citing security concerns amid protests from liberals at the university known for being a liberal bastion. The university rescheduled her speech for May 2, offering an “appropriate, protectable venue,” but Coulter refused to accept the new date.

Her event at UC Berkeley isn’t the first to get shut down amid protests.

Controversial former Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos also had an event at UC Berkeley canceled in February after a wave of violent protests.
