President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un have continued to communicate since their historic summit in Singapore, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed Thursday.
Trump thanked Kim early Thursday for his “nice letter” accompanying the remains of U.S. soldiers who died in the Korean War. Vice President Mike Pence received the remains of missing U.S. troops Wednesday in Hawaii.
“I look forward to seeing you soon!” Trump wrote.

Sanders released a statement to reporters Wednesday confirming Trump received the letter.
“The ongoing correspondence between the two leaders is aimed at following up on their meeting in Singapore and advancing the commitments made in the US-DPRK joint statement,” Sanders said.
Sanders did not address whether Trump and Kim may meet again.
The letter and Trump’s tweet comes amid concerns North Korea is continuing its nuclear weapons program, despite the Trump administration and South Korea insisting the rogue regime is committed to denuclearization.
