VICTORIA, Texas (AP) — A South Texas man has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison in a child pornography investigation linked to Oklahoma.
A federal judge in Victoria on Wednesday sentenced 32-year-old Richard R. Montez of Portland.
Montez in February pleaded guilty to distribution of child pornography in a case involving hundreds of images.
The FBI had identified Montez in an undercover operation out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Investigators say Montez had been on a file sharing network.
His home in Portland was searched last October. Investigators seized a laptop computer that led to the discovery of more than 750 images and videos of child pornography.
