Joe Biden adds Morgan State commencement to speaking circuit

Former Vice President Joe Biden will give the commencement speech at Morgan State University’s 141st commencement next month.

The commencement for the more than 1,100 graduates is scheduled for Saturday, May 20, at Hughes Memorial Stadium on campus in Baltimore, said university spokesman Clinton Coleman.

Biden will also receive an honorary doctorate in public service from the university at the commencement.

The former vice president will also speak to Harvard seniors at the university’s Class Day on May 24. In a statement, Biden said that he’s honored to be invited, calling today’s students “the most engaged, the most tolerant and the best educated in the history of the United States of America.”

And finally, it isn’t at a school, but Biden will also be in New Hampshire later this month for a major event for Democrats.

Biden will headline the New Hampshire Democratic Party’s McIntyre-Shaheen fundraising dinner on April 30. New Hampshire is the state expected to hold the first 2020 presidential primary.

Biden told an audience at Colgate University in March that he regretting not running for president in 2016.
