President Trump’s family and staff reacted colorfully to Republican Karen Handel beating Democrat Jon Ossoff in the special election Tuesday night for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District.
Donald Trump Jr. chided Democrats for losing a number of special elections, including those in Montana, Kansas and South Carolina, since the 2016 election.
Dems now 0-4 in all their “referendum” special elections, but hey there’s a bright side.. they tell me they’re 4-4 in moral victories. #maga

“Dems now 0-4 in all their “referendum” special elections, but hey there’s a bright side.. they tell me they’re 4-4 in moral victories. #maga,” Trump Jr. tweeted.
Trump Jr. also called on Democrats to work with the president on his agenda.
The democrats could not have put more into this race. They spent the most $ EVER and LOST. Maybe they will start working with POTUS?

“The democrats could not have put more into this race,” Trump Jr. tweeted. “They spent the most $ EVER and LOST. Maybe they will start working with POTUS?”
And the president’s oldest son took a whack at polls, tweeting:
Polls were wrong, again. No surprise. We deliver results, the Dems raise $ from the coasts while not even living where they want to serve.

“Polls were wrong, again. No surprise. We deliver results, the Dems raise $ from the coasts while not even living where they want to serve.”
Kellyanne Conway, counselor to Trump, offered congratulations to Handel and welcomed her to Congress.
She tweeted:
.@karenhandel thanks for standing strong, for running on issues, for being a grownup and for living in the district. Welcome to Congress.
In another tweet, Conway added a pun.
“Laughing my #Ossoff,” she said.
In beating Ossoff, Handel won a vacant seat in suburban Atlanta that has been in GOP hands since former House Speaker Newt Gingrich won it in 1978.
The campaign, the most expensive House in U.S. history, was more competitive this year, as Ossoff was fueled by more than $23 million financed by energized liberals motivated in opposition to Trump.
