Bimbo Bakeries USA, Inc. has recalled their Entenmann’s Little Bites Soft Baked Cookies after receiving consumer complaints about finding small pieces of blue plastic in individual packaging pouches.
Though no injuries have yet been reported, the Food and Drug Administration warned that the tainted cookies could pose a choking hazard to the general public.
“Consumers who have purchased the cookies should not consume the product and can return the package to its place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact our Consumer Relations group at 1-800-984-0989, 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” the FDA said in a statement.
All tainted cookies are being removed from store shelves in most states and in Washington, D.C.
